AICTE ELIS Portal Free Courses

AICTE ELIS Portal

The coronavirus outbreak has indeed held multiple industries across the world to a standstill. People all around the world see no end to their plight. Jobs are difficult to come by and prices of things seem to skyrocket. And just when things do not seem to get any better, students, whose academics have stood still for almost a year now see no end to their misery.

These are students who paid high fees just to assure a brighter future for themselves and now, with schools and institutes shutting down, have no idea when things will go back to even a mere semblance of normalcy that once upon a time existed.

To mitigate the effects of the coronavirus on education, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched an e-learning platform for students who can enrol themselves for free and learn on a digital platform while also abiding by coronavirus safety protocol.

Objective behind the AICTE ELIS portal for free courses

The Central government, bearing in mind the several issues that have sprung up in the wake of back to back lockdowns, wishes to ensure that the learning should not stop at any cost. The scheme allows students to now apply online and make an AICTE ELIS portal.

How to register for the course online?

In order to make an account on the AICTE ELIS portal for free, here is what you may need to do:

  • The candidate is expected to visit the official website at  https://free.aicte-india.org/.
  • Once the candidate visits the official website, the homepage will load on the screen as shown here:
  • There will be a category wise list of courses available. All those interested can click on the “Learn now” section under the title of the specified course.
  • The applicant can click on the “Learn for Free during Covid shut down” tab on the right-hand side of the page.

The applicant will then get the e-learning content free of cost by making AICTE ELIS portal registration online.

The ELIS portal has been primarily created to provide all students with the necessary content required to enhance learning for even regular subjects. The portal essentially aims to build up essential skill sets as required by actual work environments in the market.

Importance of the content on the portal

Under normal conditions, opting for any of the courses offered on the platform would range from ₹5,000 to ₹20,000. However, with the coronavirus outbreak, people do not have that much spending capacity. Hence, the AICTE has decided to offer these courses free of cost and all companies on the AICTE portal have obliged to keep the course free in these unprecedented times.

Summing it up

To ensure the overall growth of the workforce that is building up in our nation, the government’s decision to offer these courses for free is – in the long run – a small price to pay.

In the end, what really matters is the holistic development of the youth of our country, and a mere virus should not stand in the way of our country and the progress it so rightly deserves.
